Buddhist Witchery

All paths to god are good.
CURRENT MOON

Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves.

Slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future.

Live the actual moment.

Only this moment is life.

You must be completely awake in the present to enjoy the tea.

Only in the awareness of the present, can your hands feel the pleasant warmth of the cup.

Only in the present, can you savor the aroma, taste the sweetness, appreciate the delicacy.

If you are ruminating about the past, or worrying about the future, you will completely miss the experience of enjoying the cup of tea.

You will look down at the cup, and the tea will be gone.

Life is like that.

If you are not fully present, you will look around and it will be gone.

You will have missed the feel, the aroma, the delicacy and beauty of life.

It will seem to be speeding past you. The past is finished.

Learn from it and let it go.

The future is not even here yet. Plan for it, but do not waste your time worrying about it.

Worrying is worthless.

When you stop ruminating about what has already happened, when you stop worrying about what might never happen, then you will be in the present moment.

Then you will begin to experience joy in life.

We mourn the loss of our friend Robin Williams, who always made us laugh and smile.

Whoever you are, wherever you are;
Find a way to laugh today. Even if you don’t feel like it. Give someone a hug. Smile at a stranger. Spread as much love and joy as you can. But when you hurt inside, find a way to share that too. Don’t hold it in where it eats away at your spirit. We love you and we need you here. Your presence and purpose here are important. <3 <3 <3

Ain’t nothin’ in the news but the blues…. I think before you go to bed tonight you should do something that makes you happy and uplifts your spirit before you get some rest. Don’t go to sleep with all these worries on your mind please. I know it might be hard for some but you can do it. Listen to some happy music. Take a nice bath or shower. Show yourself some love.

If we continue to chop down our forests and destroy oxygen sources, what will these children breathe in twenty or thirty years? If we poison our water systems and food cycles, what will they eat? If we blindly continue to overproduce fluorocarbons and other organic wastes and blow holes in the ozone layer, will they be able to live outdoors? If we overheat this planet by some greenhouse effect and the oceans rise and we flood our coasts and overstress oceanic and continental fault lines, where will they live? And the children and grandchildren in China and Africa and Australia and everywhere else are just as vulnerable because they are all inescapably residents of this planet. And consider this. If and when you reincarnate, you will be one of these children.
